Where is my permit?
Our New Permit Search Page is now available online. You can search for permits on a property either by Address, Assessor Parcel Number (APN) or by the Permit Number (WBLDXX-XXXXXX). Corrections: Responses to code correction comments from any reviewing department on a permit or a permit revision that is under review for code compliancy. Corrections response template
Revisions: Minor changes or alterations to the scope of work an an issued building permit. Revision letter template
Plan Sheet Requirements:
- Corrections
- Replace corrected plan sheets in the electronic full set of plans and provide the new full set of plans.
- Provide a full new set of structural engineering calculations if correction comments require changes to the calc package(s).
- Provide any other supporting documentation required by the plan review comments.
- Provide a response letter outlining the responses for each reviewing departments corrections.
- Upload the new files/documents to permit under <Record Info><Attachments>
- Revisions
- Revisions to issued building permits must be reviewed and approved prior to building permits being re-issued
- Revision plan reviews are based on hourly plan review time of $90/hr. Plus any added value fees for additional square footage and tech fees
- To submit a revision, upload the new files/documents to the existing permit under <Record Info><Attachments>
- Revision Letter – Required itemized list of plan sheets where changes have taken place due to the revision. Detail all changes have taken place on each plan sheet. Revision letter template
- Revised Plans - ONLY provide the plan sheets that change due to the revision. Full plan sets will NOT be accepted. Each plan sheet submitted should be listed on the Revision letter with explanation of revision and should be clearly marked with a cloud and delta.
- Revised supporting Documents – ONLY revised documents should be submitted. Each document should be listed on the Revision letter and indicate where changes have taken place. Changes shall be marked with a cloud and delta.
- Once Revision is reviewed, approved and permit is re-issued, the Applicant is responsible for ensuring that the approved revised stamped plan sheets are on site and included within approved plan set for the duration of the project.
Permit Issuance
- Owner/builder Permits can only be issued to the homeowner.
- Exemption: An authorized person can pick up the permit if an Authorization to Act as Agent form is completed.
- Licensed contractors must to pick up permits for all Commercial projects and all residential projects that do not fall under the owner/builder exemption.
- Exemption: A licensed contractor can have authorized individuals pick up permits on his or her behalf if a Contractors Authorization Form has been received.
